Day one - St Bees to Ennerdale Bridge
Summary of Day One
26.66km
7.22 Hours walking
674 mtrs Elevation Gain
Forecast Partly Cloudy / 14 degrees (Perfect)
We left St Bees for our first what we thought was a relatively easy days walking, Following the coast
for the first 5km, watching seabirds playing on the cliffs.
As we progressed inland our first large hill soon came into view , the 600mtr Dent Fell.
Our training on Arthurs Seat certainly came in handy.

The mountain in the background is Dent Fell which we would
climb by the end of the day.

Following the climb and very steep decent we made our way towards Ennerdale Bridge, unfortunately in our enthusiasm we made a wrong term and were 2km up the road before we realised with the help of the GPS. This added about an hour to an already long and jetlagged day.
